FAQ'S:

What can I expect after initially booking my appointment?

After booking your appointment, we can begin to discuss the lovely details of your session.  We can do this by email, on the phone, or over some yummy Starbucks!  Whichever works best for you!

How do I pay for my session deposit?

At the moment of your booking, a non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to reserve your appointment.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We ONLY accept PayPal as the payment method. It is safest and fastest payment process in the world, and is completely free. You do not have to have a PayPal account to use a credit card.  Cash or money order accepted for remaining balance.

How do I go about rescheduling my session if need be?
Life happens, and so do reschedules.  If able, I ask that you contact me ASAP if you need to reschedule your session. You must reschedule your session within 25 days. Anytime thereafter, a new, separate deposit is due.

When will I be able to view my photos?

Approximately 2-3 days after your session, and with your permission, I will add a handful of images on Facebook as a *Sneak Peek*. All edited images from your session will be available to view within 2-3 weeks in your own password protected gallery.  Images will be available for an initial 3 week period. A $25 fee will be applied for a 2 week extension period. Your images will be password protected, and only those who have access to your password will be able to view your images.

When will you mail off my DVD of images?

If ordered, 2-3 weeks.
** Your DVD will be mailed to the address provided to me. **

What is your policy in regards to uploading images for public display?
If I didn't exactly look my best in a photograph, I wouldn't be a happy camper if someone were to display it.  So, of course, I extend the same courtesy to you.  I always run any and all images by my clients before I post any, anywhere, unless you're comfortable with them going straight to my site/blog/and or Facebook page. And to insure the safety for both parties, I also have each and every client sign a Model Release before the session begins.

Do you have any tips for selecting locations?

Sure do! I have plenty of locations for you to choose from if you prefer not to choose your own. You want your surrounding atmosphere to convey you as a person, or you as a family -- you want your personality to shine through! Sessions will be held on location, whether in your own home, at a park, or wherever your hearts desires! Keep in mind as a natural light photographer, I need plenty of good natural light to help create beautiful portraits. For outdoor locations, open shade is a necessity to avoid squinting eyes from harsh overhead sunlight.

What time of day is best for taking portraits?
Usually 2 hours after the sun comes up or 2 hours before the sun goes down. -- It gives images that yummy golden look; takes you back to summers in a field, lying on a blanket with a picnic basket! For sessions held indoors, the best time ideally would be late morning to early afternoon.

When do I need to schedule my session?
Holiday Session-  Holidays are the most popular time of the year to capture those beautiful smiles, and spots do fill up quickly.  I recommend booking your session at least 2 -3 months in advance.

Maternity- Session is recommended to be held 2 months prior to baby's much anticipated debut.

Newborn- In order to capture the sweet cozy little rumps of a newborn, sessions are recommended to be held within the first 7-10 days of birth as they are not easily disturbed while sleeping.  Many expecting mothers schedule this appointment several months in advance.

What do I need to wear to my session?

(Check out my BLOG for even more info!)

Families/Siblings-  Try to dress in clothes that are in the same color palette, but aren't exactly the same.  Also, try to keep with the same tones (bright and bold, or subtle and pastel). For parents accompanying the session, I recommend wearing either a white or black shirt just in case your assistance is needed in the portrait.

Children- Keep it fun and vibrant! Why not let the kiddos dress themselves?  Put your Little Princess in a tutu! Or play Cowboys and Indians with your boys?  The options are endless when it comes to the kids! Check out my "Attire" tab on my main page for further ideas!

Maternity- Seeing as the star of this session is that beautiful belly of yours, simple is generally a good rule to keep in mind when selecting your wardrobe. Wear what you feel is most comfortable. To more show off your belly, a shirt that buttons down, and spaghetti-strap tops are suggested, and jeans can be worn if you are still comfortable in them. I recommend having at least 3-4 different outfits.

Newborn- Little ones are soft and delicate, as their clothes should be.  If Houston decides to be nice and warm out, tiny babies generally look best in their birthday suit, however please keep the diaper semi loose in order to avoid any unwanted diaper marks on their legs and belly.   To keep baby comfortable, please keep a limit of 2-3 clothing changes.  A diaper cover is a plus, but not mandatory.  Also, as baby is unpredictable with accidents, please bring an extra outfit for not only baby, but for you as well.

Seniors- Cap with gown, school/sports related apparel, Letterman jacket, or even your prom dress or tux, and if you already have your class ring, bring that along as well. Also, if you have plans of attending college, represent, and bring your future college shirt with you!

Do I need to bring anything to my session?
Children-  I encourage you to bring favorite toys, music, or anything special to the session to help them to relax, have fun, and most importantly let their true personality shine.  From costume jewelry, fairy wings, to Gi Joe's and toy cars, it is virtually impossible not to bring too many toys.  The more, the merrier!

Newborn- Special blankets, hats, stuffed animals. Anything that is of sentimental value that you would like to be in the photograph as well.

Maternity-  Any special stuffed animals, family heirlooms, and ultra-sound images.  And lets not forget the hubby and kiddos!

Seniors- Cap and gown are always a plus, as well as your class ring, or instrument you play.  Bring anything that represents you as an individual, and/or anything that brightens up your individual personality.
