New Year. New Resolutions. (Life)

As we get older, I think it become more and more apparent that life is funny, and God does indeed have a sense of humor.  This is I dig, but sometimes, I wish He wouldn't trust me so much.

This past year has been anything but slow, dull, and boring.
Its been the COMPLETE opposite, and at this point, I'm pretty sure I'm not in Kansas anymore.

Wait. Let me check.

Okay. yeah. no.

Life has thrown me, personally, some nasty curve balls, but you know what?  I love it.

I love that God loves me enough, to put me through everything I have been through. I love how He has laid out my cards.  I love how He's never, not even once, left my side. I might have left his from time to time, but never. I repeat, NEVER, has He led me astray.  And this is why although life gets harder, it also just keeps getting better and better.

I'm stronger than I was yesterday, and the day before, and the day before.

As I type, yep, I'm breathing.
God isn't done with me yet, and I know I say this A LOT, but I'm oodles and coodles excited about His plans for me.

I think the toughest part of this year has probably had to have been reminding myself that there is a greater plan and a much greater purpose; one that is far beyond anything I could possibly fathom.

Just thinking back on this year, I guess I kinda chuckle.  Thinking back on any particular situation and how miserable, hurt, angry, bitter, you name it... eventually, I did overcome it, and I moved on, and got through it. Okay, its more of a proud chuckle, I guess, but a chuckle nonetheless.  Okay, and possibly a tear or two.

I am blessed.
Simply blessed.
Beyond blessed.
Incredibly blessed.

And for this reason:
Jesus loves me.
This I know.
For the Bible tells me so.

And so does He...
every.
single.
day.

And because of his underlying, unconditional love, I wanna give this vessel a cleaning, and shine it up for a brand new spanking year.  For brand new opportunities. For brand new beginnings. For brand new endings.  Now, I'm not talking about squeaky clean, cause then I'd be starting from scratch, but instead, I want to be polished and look my best for Him.  I can at least do that much for that man that died for the world's sins.

I want to open my heart further.
And I want Him to continue to test me and my faith.
I'm curious to see where it'll all take me.

I'm not going to write a list, cause well, I'd be here all.day.everyday.
And well, that's the point of a blog isn't it. lol

So with that being said, I hope you'll join me in 2011.
Because yes, one of my resolutions is to blog more.

Happy 2011!
Many many blessings to you and your family!

HUGE LOVE!

New Year. New Resolutions. (Career)

2010.

My first year in business.

My first year of many...
laughs.
bawl fests.
perfect smiles.
cheesy grins.
and beautiful souls.

I wouldn't have had it any other way.  Its been quite a journey, and I've taken some paths which were long, some fun, and some which ended too soon. Nonetheless, I've walked them, and haven't looked back.  Despite the doubts, I've kept my head up.  Despite the late late nights of editing and re-editing, I've eventually caught up.  Despite the loss of my lens cap a trillion and one times, my glass is as clean as it was on its birthday.

Despite everything. Despite it all, I am thankful.
Blessed.
Humbled.
Grateful.

To everyone.
Thank you for sharing your special moments with me.
Thank you for inviting me into your home, into your lives, and into your heart.
Thank you for creating a spark in my creative being.
Thank you for inspiring that spark.
Thank you for keeping that spark alive.

Thank you!

[in no particular order]

#1. Shoot at least one picture (series) a day.
(and then blog it weekly)

#2.  Re-read my manual.
I need a re-freshen-upper.

#2.5.  Re-discover the HD video mode.
I wanna have some extra fun!

#3.  Build a studio.
From home, that is.  Its in the works, and I've been doing lots of research.
I'm excited!

#4. Dedicate more time to my Boudoir work.
I miss it.

#5. No scheduling on Sunday's before 1pm.
I've missed church for quite some time, now, and although, I'm grateful for being busy, priorities need to be in check.  I'm not here because of me and my D300s. I'm here because He put me here.

#6.  Go on a missionary trip.
My dream. I can't even begin to describe the feelings I anticipate on describing!

#7. Try some underwater goodness.
How fun. How creative. How excited. How about killing 2 birds with 1 stone?
"Working" and having fun! Oh wait, I do that already. haha

#8.  Attend a workshop.
Any workshop will do! I love to learn, and meet new people!

#9. Continue befriending some amazing local photographers.
They're inspiring, and a hoot to be around!

#10. Second-shoot @ a wedding.
Never done this, but I can imagine it would oh so fun!
Any takers willing to drag me along???
(being serious, here! I'd love to!)

And the lovely things I want/need/desire/drool over:

* Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8
* Nikkor 105mm Macro (extra droolage going on over here)
* Studio Lighting (I'll take some of those hawttt pink Alien Bee's please)
* Backdrops and props (I'm always on the hunt!)
*SD Card holder (I've been meaning to get one for quite some time, now.)
*A Fish Eye
*Nikkor 35mm 1.8
* Nikon Coolpix s8100 12.1 megapixel
*Old cameras. I don't care if they work, but I plan on doing something fabulous with them when I've gathered enough.
*Photojojo (its an amazing book with amazing ideas, which I plan to implement in my new living space)
*A home filled with photos. Ev-er-y-where.

I can go on, but I won't bore you. haha
But basically I'm picky and dig a sexy piece of glass (ahem Nikon). =]
Thanks again everyone for making this first year the best year, yet!
Hugs and kisses to you all!

HUGE LOVE!

New Year. New Resolutions. (Family)

(or old resolutions... depends on how you look at it. HA!)

Although I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions... and here's why...

A New Year to be thankful for? Well, yes, but a new DAY, Praise God!
Everyday is a new way to say hello, goodbye, and welcome to new challenges, new defeats, new tears, new triumphs.  Every.single.day.

However, its great to set goals, and anything with the words, "new" and "year" sparks a little fire under everyone's tush.

So with that being said, I've complied a list of my own Family-oriented "Resolutions" for the upcoming year of twenty-eleven.

Check back tomorrow and Wednesday for "Career Resolutions" and "Life Resolutions"!
_________________________________________________

#1.  Lose weight.
Sounds cliche, but its gots to be done. Do I consider myself fat? No. I do wish I had longer legs to even things out, but I do not think I'm fat.  I'm bootylicious. Its been a crazy insane battle, and honestly, one of the hardest working goals in my entire life, but its a work in progress. Not to mention, it took me 4 years to get this way, and I've now come to realize its not gonna magically undo itself in 4 days.

#2. Cut back on spending.
Again... a must. No reason to really explain, its just gotta be done.

#3. Emphasize on the "Home Sweet Home" with our own home.
The family and I are packing our bags and headed... well, we don't know quite yet, but we're moving in Feb, and we're hoping to move into a house... a house which to call our own with a nice backyard, and extra bedroom for my office/studio.

#4.  Proverbs 31.
Enough said.

#5.  Blog.
I promise come next year, you'll be reading more of me and whatever life decides to so thoughtfully and spontaneously throw my way. haha
Pictures included. Laughs and tears, sold separately.

#6 And last, but certainly not least...
Pack my bags, and head back to Preggerville.
Yes, folks... after 4 years, its that time, again.
But, in God's timing.
Yes, I'm officially "ready" for another sweet cupcake in the oven. <3

And that's it.
Yep, that's it.

They're huge resolutions, and they're going to take a lot of determination, motivation, and faith-vation!
And I can't say this enough, but "All in God's timing."
We will get there.

So, what are some of YOUR New Year's Resolutions?
And how you plan on accomplishing them?

New Year. New Beginnings.

Today, and I dropped my daughter off at school for her last day before Christmas Break, I walked by the ginormous weathered chalk board hanging on the wall that read, "See you Jan.3, 2011!"  The "2011" was written slightly more apparent than the rest of the wording.

It then hit me.
2010 is almost over.

Somewhere between the passing of that chalk board, and me reaching to open my car door, 2010 and its entirety flashed before my eyes.  The good, the bad, and yes, even the ugly.

And in just a few short days, our wall/desk/planner calendar will open its arms wide with love, hope, peace, and many many unknowns and what if's. We will say hello to 2011 whether we like it or not.

It truly is amazing how time flies.  Seems like just yesterday I was toasting Ocean Spray grape juice with my hubby and little princess at 12am cst.  Seems like just yesterday, a lot of things happened.  Things that I never in my wildest dreams ever imagined happening, but here we are... on the brink of 2011...about to dive head first into a 365 day abyss.

Not sure what to think quite yet, but for now, I'll settle for enjoying the rest of whatever 2010 may bring, and I'll work on warming myself up for 2011's warm embrace.

End of the Year! | Photo Contest

Okay, so maybe you haven't figured it out by now, but I'm kinda obsessed with contests. I guess because I hardly ever win anything myself, it gives me warm fuzzies when others win neat things.  And to be apart of it, well, that's even better!

Next contest begins, soon! {details after my life story, below}

I've had an ah-mazing year. AH-MAZING.
Did I mention, AH-MAZING?

I've gotten to meet some AH-MAZING clients, whom most of, I now, call friends.

I'm so very very very thankful to be able to share my love through my lens, and I'm so very very very thankful God has put me on this path.  I hope this continues for quite some time, cause I've got some big plans, but I know God has even bigger ones, and I can't wait to see what He has in store for me!

I guess its hard to believe I'm actually doing this for a living.  Before, I had absolutely NO idea what I wanted to do with my life, and every turn I took seemed to leave me stranded or was a dead-end.  I've had people tell me I would never succeed, and I've had people who have had their doubts.  However, some people just simply don't understand (or care to)... and this goes for all those who are pursing a dream that may seem impossible.  All I can say is, YOU'LL GET THERE. One way or another. Keep that drive in your heart and in your veins! So, in the mean time, I'll enjoy the road I'm on, and whenever I do get "there", I hope I can say to the good Lord, "I used everything you gave me."

I am beyond blessed. Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Now, I won't lie, I got this idea from another photographer...
But hey, why not hold the same contest?  I've had the pleasure of working with some wonderfully beautiful people (inside and out), and I wanna say "thanks" to one lucky family/girl/boy/couple/mommy/daddy/friend/etc!

So, further details will be revealed next week, but for now, for all those whom I've photographed this year (2010), go back through your photos you have from your portrait session(s) with either ©DreamTree Photography or ©Casey Ayala Photography, and choose ONE favorite.

Email the screen-resolution/watermarked image to me. [[dreamtreephotography@yahoo.com]]
If you have a gallery up right now or are waiting for your CD, choose your favorite image, and I'll archive the image for the contest.

Contest will begin Thursday, December 16 and will continue through Monday, December 20th @ 12am.

Because of the new Facebook rules, I will no longer be holding contest here on my fanpage, but rather on my blog.  Its pretty much the same thing... All you have to do is copy and paste the link, and have your friends and family vote.  Good thing too, some people don't have access to Facebook, but all have access to my blog.

The photo with the most votes wins a Houston Area Portrait Session with yours truly! <3

*Session will take place after the start of 2011 and cannot be used in place of a currently booked session/promotion.

SOS.

Lately, I've been receiving messages via Facebook and email in regards to help.  Other aspiring photogs have come to me, ME, for help!!  I'm flattered to say the least, and am very very humbled.

But it seems like the first words always written are, "umm I'm not sure if you'd be willing to help..."

OKAY. STOP the tracks!

Not even a year ago, I was there, and heck, I still am, and I probably always will be "there".

I'm very proud of my work, and the distance I have traveled in such a short amount of time.
Call me conceited or vain, but I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this business, and although I'm not 100% satisfied with my work (which I don't  think ANY photographer ever really is), I am def proud to say its mine and is a product of my imagination and creativity.

With that being said, YES, I am willing to help! As much as I can, in fact!
If I can save someone the tears and suffering of browsing the internet till 3am trying to figure out whether or not they should shoot in RAW vs. JPEG, I'd be more than happy to lend a helping hand!

Now, with THAT, being, said, I'm not  knockin' leaning and educating yourself, because in turn, you find out who you are as an artist... what gets your creative juices flowing, and ultimately, what you produce through your own lens. Yeah, so you take amazing pictures, okay, that's great and all, but honestly, its the effort you put in that determines just how amazing your work really is, and just how much of YOU shines through your work.

I remember when I first started photog school back in May 2009....  Photoshop was one of the first classes on my schedule for the 2nd semester. (Now, keep in mind I'd only had my hands on a DSLR for about 2 months, and yes, it was STILL in the box)  I was sooo excited, yet a freakin wreck, because never in my entire life had I ever laid my eyes on Photoshop. NEVER.  Heck, the only "post processing" I ever did to my images were from the basic photo editing program that comes equipped on everybody's computer. (not knockin' that either, btw)  Even now, I always always shoot in Manual mode. Sometimes, I actually forget there is any other mode. haha BUT... all well worth it!

The first day of the 2nd semester came, and as I sat in front of that beautiful illuminated 25in MAC screen, I wanted to bash my head into the desk. I went home with a HORRIBLE migraine, and my nerves were completely SHOT. I mean, seriously... how many things can you REALLY do or do you really NEED to do with just ONE tool?? I couldn't wrap my head around it all, and even if I had tried, my head would have exploded or either been very short of retaining ANY type of information shared.  At that point, I wasn't sure what was more intimidating... Photoshop, or this DSLR that had a zillion and one buttons that just happened to cost more than my master bedroom set.

The 2nd day came, and I was called to the financial aid office.  Due to the lack of financial aid (grr), I had to drop the class. Although I absolutely loatheddd my very first day, I KNEW I HAD to take that class in order to become a "wonderful photographer."

WRONG.

I am soo glad God placed my cards the way He did, because that entire semester and the next, I learned how to properly expose my images, and to get them right in the camera even before everrr uploading them onto  a computer. For those that know me and my work, you know I do very minimal post-processing.  Honestly, I hardly ever crop either.  Most of the time the way you see my final image, was exactly how I took it with exception of adjusting levels, clearing out blemishes, and sharpening.

With only being in business since Feb of 2009, I can't give too too much insight or info, but I will say this... and yes, I have read this a zillion times from other photogs, but it is THE best advice... practice practice practice!! And when you're done practicing, practice some more!  Yes, even in dreaded Photoshop.  Everyday, just play with something new... "accidentally" click the wrong tool, and see where it takes you. Or manually focus all of your shots, and see what'cha get. Go out in your backyard, and shoot completely on "AUTO" mode... then when you upload your images, check the "info" and see what settings your camera came up with, and go from there. Get on the ground belly up and shoot whatever happens to... well, happen.  Use and abuse that piece of equipment! You'll be glad you did!

Now, I'm not gonna lie, I have lotssssssssssssss and lotsssssssssssssss to still learn about the photog world (and yes, Photoshop), but I think that's one of the reasons I love this job so so much... there is ALWAYS something new to learn. ALWAYS.  You're never bored with this job, and if you are, its time to pick a new one.  And, I will tell you this...  after every.single.session, I learn something new, and I think that's the way it should be.  Never ever should you have a session to where you leave without gaining some type of knowledge or perspective.  This is how we grow, and THAT is what makes you better at your craft.

So, in conclusion, please feel free to email me, fb message me, or whatever... Don't hesitate to get in contact with me if you need a little help.  Heck, you may even ask something to which I can't answer, but will do the research to find out. This way, we both learn something new!

Also, thank you to all for your wonderful support.  Even those whom I've never met or even talked to... thank you! Your support helps keeps the fire in me!

Here's a before and after shot. The first is a SOOC, and the second was a playful date with Photoshop. You typically won't find my images THAT processed, but this is what you'll get when dancing with Photoshop tools, layer masks, textures, and levels.

Happy Shooting and HUGE LOVE!

A few months back you may remember me discussing a "Self Portrait" contest in the works. Well, its FINALLY, here!  Its time to get your thinking cap on and your creative juices flowing!

Why?  Because my style represents who YOU are and what YOU are about.  Not so much all the filly and froofroo's. So with that being said, I want to CELEBRATE YOU!

I've also decided to begin this week, cause I'm sure many are off from work, and this will give you ample time to come up with something totally awesome. Or if not, you can steal the idea Uncle Bob throws at you over Thanksgiving dinner! ha!  Whatever you choose to do, I know it will be nothing short of AWESOME!

The WINNER will receive a FULL BLOWN "Cherish" Session!  (valued at $300)
Hey, I know a lot of work goes into self-portraits... Coming up with an idea is the hardest part, but executing it... well, I, personally think its therapeutic.

What makes YOU shine?  Perhaps you love to sing or adore lyrics to a certain song?  Maybe you're passionate about a certain cause (hence my own personal photo)?  Maybe you're just one super awesome mom or dad?  Love your job?  Get creative with it!  And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Hi, remember me?

Yeah, me.  The one who goes on random blogging sprees, and then randomly disappears into the thin air.

Yep. That's me.

I am here.
I am alive.

My mind, however...
Yeah, still trying to locate it.

Let me recap on the understated insanity of these past few months.  Insanity which has adopted the name of "normal day, normal routine".

* My kiddo's 4th Birthday.  You would think I was planning a small wedding or perhaps a Sweet Sixteen.
I can't imagine when that time actually comes... Lord, help me. Heck, help us all.  From what I hear, I was a momma-zilla.  I, of course, beg to differ.

* My mother came back from NC. She was up there visiting her family. Without me, of course. I missed her, and glad she is back home. I love that place.  (The valley(South Texas), is my summer retreat, which I feel dry, deserted, and deprived of, because I haven't been in fo-ever. I miss my grandpa so, and I miss the sweet-bread he has ready on the kitchen table every morning.  See you, soon, Grandpa! Its been too long!  (I feel a blog coming on just to recap and reminisce of those summer valley days...soon.)

* Pictures my mother brought back from NC.  A good portion of my sweet and smiling face wayyy back in the day.  I'll have to set aside some time, and upload that sweet goodness of ME. hehe

* Oh. Halloween Party! That was fun! And it was my pumpkin's very first time Trick-or-Treating. We are now in mid November, and she is still ranting and raving about her experience. Gotta love it!

* My pumpkin's first school program. -- She played a Kangaroo in their production of Noah's Ark, and she was THE cutest kangaroo evarrr!

* Holiday Mini Sessions -- planning for these aren't easy, but they're a heck of a lot of fun! -- I had to cancel tomorrow's sessions, but apart of me rejoices, because I spent time nice and cozy on my bed while the creative juices were flowing, thus I must go shopping for further props to incorporate into those mini sessions!

* Family portraits. My own. =] SoooOOoOooOoo much FUN!  Will post pix, soon!

* Weddings. =]  Ahhh... gotta love 'em!  I've got 2 coming up-- one next month and one in March. I'm ecstatic!!

* My baby has been sick... errr, I've lost count how many times, BUT its been horrible.  I hate seeing her that way.

*  Robbery - yes, my sister's car got broken into.  Lesson of the day, folks: Don't leave your purse in your car; even if it IS covered.

* A secret Christmas gift to my parents from their secretive children. Muahahaahahahahaa!

* "Dieting" -- for those following my other blog, I fell off. Not off the "diet", but off my updates.  No worries... all will begin after, of course, I locate my mind.  (update: I lost 7lbs last month. Yippie!)

* And well, LIFE.  (which is, in my opinion, a soap opera. Seriously. Any agents out there willing to document the lives of me and my family??? We'll get you top ratings, I guarantee!)

So yeah. That's where I've been the past couple of weeks/months.

Friends, don't forget about me. I'm still here, although my mind isn't.

Good things are to come at the start of next year, which I can't wait to share with you!

Until then. And until my next post (whenever that may be). I love you all, and hope all is well on your end!

Stay sane these next coming weeks as we enter the Holiday twilight zone... don't bum-rush that sweet old lady on aisle 10 just to get that $5 toaster.  On the way to your fave Black Friday sale, don't honk at the sweet old man driving 15mph... he has grand-kids to shop for.  Do eat until you're happy heart (and tummy) is content. And then go at it, again! Also, do remember Cyber Monday. =]

And in the midst of all the chaos, do stop, and take some time for yourself.  Sit by the fire with your fave blanket and book, and leisurely sip on that nice hot cup of chocolate. I promise, its worth it.

Me in bed, getting work done.
And yes, those are my slippers.  The hubby makes fun of them, and says it looks like I walked straight out of the board game, CandyLand.  I, however, think that's a good thing. =]

Holiday fun & HUGE LOVE!

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!
Together, we have helped make a difference in these people's lives!
Together, we are giving them HOPE!
Together, we are fighting blood cancers, everywhere!

I must say, it was a very humbling experience.
Same, as March of Dimes.
You just feel GREAT doing something for somebody else.
Being generous by giving your time, your efforts, and even through this crummy economy, your finances.

It was tough seeing small children flying the "white" balloons, which represent survivors.
And it was even harder to see a selected few carrying the "gold" balloons, which represent those who lost their battle.

In addition to walking, some shared their stories of their struggle and their survival.
I couldn't help but think to myself, "I don't think I could handle something so severe like that...", but then my cousin reminded me, "I'm sure they thought the same thing when they were told the news."

Doing events like this, puts my life into further perspective.
You just never know, and this is why its so very very important to live everyday with purpose, and to always keep an attitude of praise.

A lady approached me and asked if I could take her family's picture. Of course, I said yes!
I noticed that the woman in the middle holding her 2 children, had "SURVIVOR" written on her shirt. And her 2 children had "My mom kicked cancer's butt!" written on theirs.  I had to sorta push my emotions to the side to snap a couple of shots, but it was amazing to witness a family come together for their loved ones. They were full of life and so very much full of spirit.

After taking the shots, I gave each person back their camera, and the mother of the woman said, "Thank you. We will pray for your family..." I hesitated for a second, and I think she realized this...  She thought I was there to support a family member. I told her, "Well thank you, but I'm actually here to support everyone." And she herself was taken aback. She said, "Wow. Really? Well thank you so very much! God bless you."

And in that moment, I knew I was at the right place at the right time.
Just as some of you who donated to this cause even though you don't personally know a victim, a sponsor, or a walker/supporter.

Its such a reassuring feeling, that even though we may not know all of the details, we know God has the upper hand, and will distribute the money and blessings accordingly.

I know this won't be my last walk, as I am looking for other walks to attend, but I'm grateful to have been given this opportunity, and I pray for those who are still fighting, and for those who have already fought, that God may continue to bless their hearts and renew their strength.

Thank you again for your kind donations!

And just as a reminder, I am also walking next weekend, October 24th, for a good and dear friend of mine, who was directly affected by a blood cancer. To read her story, click here.

Also, Jr, my hubbs will be walking with the team as well!
This is his first walk, so I ask that instead of donating to my personal page, please consider making a donation to his personal page.

Rue21 Fashion Shoot | DreamTree Photography

This was mucho fun!!
©Rue21 has this fabulously saa-weeet event they do every now and again where they have a "try on" party with the store's employees and clothes/accessories.  HOW FUN!

Unfortunately, the backdrop provider couldn't show, but we improvised, and used the back wall of the fitting room. Yes, imagine... Me in a hmm... I wanna say, 4x3 fitting room with a 50mm lens. I was so wishing my rear wasn't so big, so I could have squeeeeezed up against the mirror just a TAD bit more. But all turned out great!

Enjoy!
Also, for the b&w edits, check out my Facebook Page!

Thanks guys for being wickedly awesome!
And thank you Marty for the wickedly awesome opportunity!

The Holy Alphabet | Holy Rollin' Sunday's

 LOVE THIS!

Although things are not perfect Because of trial or pain Continue in thanksgiving Do not begin to blame Even when the times are hard Fierce winds are bound to blow God is forever able Hold on to what you know Imagine life without His love Joy would cease to be Keep thanking Him for all the things Love imparts to thee Move out of 'Camp Complaining' No weapon that is known On earth can yield the power Praise can do alone Quit looking at the future Redeem the time at hand Start every day with worship To 'thank' is a command Until we see Him coming Victorious in the sky We'll run the race with gratitude X alting God most high Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but... Z ion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

'I AM Too blessed to be stressed!' The shortest distance between a problem
and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who
kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you
forever, Amen.

I'm thankful for... | Part Deux

This "I'm thankful list", really can go on and on.
And really, I think it should.
In this everyday "American" life/dream, we get preoccupied with well, everyday life, and its hard to find the time to stop and smell the roses; to appreciate all that God has given us; big and small.

Even if you're thankful for the silly things in life like some super fierce red pumps, I think its important to say so. Why? Because its apart of you.  No, it doesn't define you, but its your own style and personality, which should always be embraced!

[[Btw, these are in no particular order.]]

26)  Crayons and markers. (I'm horrible with colored pencils, so this works out great for me!)
27)  Coloring books. (this is how Jr and I spent most of our "dates" together; having coloring contests. He always won btw.)
28)  Cupcakes. (they're yummier than yummy!)
29)  The color PINK! (its my life haha)
30)  The clothes on my back. (cause ain't nobody wanna see me in my birthday suit!)
31)  Past boyfriends. (they make me laugh, and paved the way to my hubbs)
32)  AC! (What a tremendous blessing!)
33)  Culture in general. (it gets my inquisitive bones a'movin')
34)  Fashion. (because I really don't have much of it)
35)  Tape. (One of the best inventions EVER invented!)
36)  Myspace. (where I became obsessed with design. I had a new profile background every other day lol)
37)  Kolaches! (because they are WAY better than donuts!)
38)  Olive Garden (it generally always sends my taste buds catapulting)
39)  This blog.  (I love and thoroughly enjoy sharing my thoughts with you guys)
40)  Electricity. (I don't think I have to elaborate on this one)
41)  My straightening iron.  (yes, enough said)
42)  Stickers. (they make everything better!)
43)  Glitter anything. (we all need a little shimmer in our lives!)
44)  MUSIC!  (its my therapy)
45)  Pandora Radio (Just say, "NO!" to commercials!)
46)  My church!  (Its amazing!  And has brought my family closer)
47)  My car. (it gets me places)
48)  Napkins.
50)  Tide Pen (you would think for my kid, but nope, for me!)

If you've compiled your own list of thankful's, I'd love for you to share!

I'm thankful for...

Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
That means yummy turkey, smothering gravy, family laughter (or fights, depending on your family. haha)
Just kidding. =]

I love the holidays!
Its my most favoritest (yes favoritest) time of the year!
The weather is gorgeous (thank you Jesus!).
The leaves are beautiful.
The air is brisk (and so is my walking, because now, I can actually breathe hehe).
People in general, are just in a much better mood.(I'm sure the weather has something to do with this. lol)
And well, let's not forget the yummy food (which I think I mentioned already). =]

So I've decided to compile a small list of things I am thankful for!

1)  My salvation. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross, so I could have eternal life. Can't wait to party hardy with you, someday!
2)  My faith. -- its what gets me through each day.
3)  My health. (as much as I've abused my body the past 4 years, its still going strong)
4)  My loving and supportive husband. (God definitely blessed the "broken road")
5)  My beautiful smart daughter.  (She's my sunshine on a cloudy day)
6)  My sisters (we've extra bonded over the past 2 years. Nothing stands against us as a team.)
7)  My family as a whole. (They're crazy, and I love them dearly.)
8)  My talent. (I love sharing it with others!)
9)  My camera. (It gets the job done.)
10)  The digital age. (although I'm sure working in the darkroom is therapeutic, I don't think I have the patience.)
11)  My bed. (one of the best investment the hubbs and I ever made!)
12)  My computer (which was given to me by my sweet uncle. my laptop was on the verge of flat lining, and this was a tremendous blessing!)
13)  The current weather status. =]
14)  The Lord opening my eyes on my weight/health issue (check out my other blog to tag along on my journey!)
15)  Barbie (she rocks my world!)
16)  A roof over my head.
17)  Haribo Gummy Bears (mmmmmmmmmmm nom nom nom)
18)  Our American Freedom (thanks forefathers! Y'all the bomb.com!)
19)  The men and women fighting selflessly and so courageously over seas.  (words can't express! THANK YOU!)
20)  The families of the men and women fighting (I wish I was as strong as you all. THANK YOU!)
21)  My hubby's job.
22)  A wonderful school for my child. (she can't seem to get enough of it!)
23)  WONDERFUL friends!  (you know who you are! THANK YOU!)
24)  Third Day (their lyrics to their song helped open my eyes to Jesus)
25) Cute boots.
26)  Books (I'm just now learning to enjoy them)
27)  Forever 21 jeans (they don't break the bank, and they're super cute!)
28)  Cute sweaters. (I dig the coziness)
29)  A child's laughter.
30)  Light. (Photography is painting with light)
21)  Love.  (its beyond inspirational)
22)  Toothpaste. (enough said)
23)  Facebook. (keeps me in touch with the rest of the world)
24)  TV (I don't watch much of it, but I do enjoy Disney movies!)
25)  Fruit (my favorite!)

And that's my first set!
Next set, up tomorrow!

So, what are you thankful for this season?

Update on the Mini's! | DreamTree Photography

Alrighty, so I've gotten some questions regarding the Halloween/Fall Mini's. I know some have not yet purchased/made their kiddo's costume (I'm one of them lol), SO I'm extending the Halloween Mini's to another date! The new date has been set for Sunday, October 17, 2010! -- Also, your cutie doesn't have to wear a Halloween costume; you're more than welcome to dress em up in Fall attire!

Also, even though Daylight Savings time hasn't hit yet, it seems Mother Nature, is swaying that way, SO, with that said, I can't be certain about the lighting right as of now, but when the date draws closer, we'll set specific times. =]

Also, don't forget about the Holiday Mini's!

** Next pretty face that books receives 5 extra images as well as a set of FREE wallets! **

To book either session, click here!

If you have any questions regarding the information above, please do not hesitate to ask!

THANKS!

HUGE LOVE!

XOXO -Casey
